The zombie of punk is very active these days and once again with a fresh taste for flesh roaming around Britain's music venues. Though it changes after each resurrection, when bands like MILK TEETH are force propelling it forward it will never lose any of its unholy appeal. The bands debut album, Vile Child, which came out at the beginning of the year is a sweet sucker punch to the ear drums. With pounding drums, distorted riffs and passionate vocals it really is everything you would expect from a band loved in both the indie and Punk scenes.
Songs such as Brain Food and Crows Feet show off just how great a vocalist Becky is. Her voice fits in perfect with the bands sound as a whole. Brain Food - which is a personal favourite - is the perfect soundtrack to the feeling of redundancy that loops over and over in 2016 Britain. The quality of the song writing on the album could easily be missed as the other aspects of the album can be quite distracting but much like with Brain Food,Swear Jar (Again) again shows off some of the best song writing from a punk band for a while. The raw subject matter of the songs are twisted in punk poetry that feels ever relatable yet still with an inspiring distance.
All round, this album has it all. Screeching vocals, great song writing and an all round energetic feel that is a welcomed shock to the system.
