Their latest album, Sleep Spindles (released on 21 of October) brilliantly captures their powerful and stimulating sound. Fluid, ambient and dynamic; tracks such as Intertwined and Eidolon cascade over you, leaving you somewhere in between breathless and tranquil.
Thrillingly intoxicating, it's almost too easy to listen to the entire album without even realizing it. The albums diversity truly does flow like a stream of silk, leaving you in a trance-like state to tracks such as Halve yet raising hairs with tracks like Parallelogram.
The album holds emotion, appearing quite cold, evocative of the sounds of Boards of Canada. Although there is a coldness to the album, it's more of an enchanting and peaceful feel rather than bleak. Sleep Spindles conveys progression and change throughout its listening, portraying Luo's malleability and potential. As an album it truly flourishes.
