Hare are a three-piece grunge-band rocking around the pubs and venues of our very own Brighton town. Their first single, “Another Mistake”, which burst onto all major streaming platform on 9th April 2019, hits hard with catchy guitar riffs lifted straight from the days of “Nevermind” and spray painted onto the solid wall of big muff crunch that bolsters the track from the first second to the last.
As their first ever single, the track propels the band onto any music fan’s radar with its impressive sound quality and melodic prowess that makes it an undeniable earworm of a song. Its safe to say: this track is an explosive start for a very exciting band. After a middle section that begs the crowd to form a pit, the chorus cascades back in with the same energy as the ensuing mosh that is simply bound to happen. I can definitely hear this song being shouted back to the band on the beer-y breaths of rowdy festival crowd.
With all three of them adorned with below shoulder hair-dos, they are “making waves” in more way than one. Comprised of frontman Sean Windle on lead vocals and guitar, Craig Glynn on bass and Jack Watts on the drums, it seems strange that such a big, energetic sound can come out of just three people. Perhaps they’re photosynthetic: they got together in the summer sunshine of 2018 and have been shaking the windowpanes of wherever they play since.
Big date for your calendar is their single release party happening tomorrow (15th April) at The Pipeline. If you miss that, run down to Bar 42 on 2nd June to hear this massive song brought to life. Keep it up boys!
